One on One with a Revolutionist: Rachel Frawley

Rachel Frawley makes her 7 Stages debut as the badass assassin, Charlotte Corday. Her head will roll, but until then, find out what line makes her laugh, and what she wants you all to leave the theatre saying:

Q. When you hear French Revolution your brain doesn’t automatically think comedy, but this play is indeed humorous. What line or moment always makes you giggle?

A. “The Tribunal does not think you’re pregnant”.

Q. Although funny, these women are not to be messed with. What is your characters major strength?

A. Charlotte’s major strength is her uncompromising conviction and courage.

Q. What made you want to be a part of this production?

A. The women involved, past and present.

Q. Set in the past but incredibly poignant to issues today regarding equality, what do you hope audiences walk away saying?

A. I hope people leave talking about the many ways in which history repeats itself. And also how they would very much like to make sure each of the actresses gets cast repeatedly in well-paying, artistically fulfilling projects forever and ever.
