On Wednesday, November 9th, 2022 at 7pm ET, join local climate heroes, community members, and supporters at 7 Stages Theatre for the launch of Drawdown’s Neighborhood: Atlanta, a climate solutions short documentary series passing the mic to voices that often go unheard in the climate community.
The event is hosted by Project Drawdown’s Stories team and Matt Scott, Director of Storytelling & Engagement and the host of Drawdown’s Neighborhood. The event will serve as a sneak peek screening of the series, before the global virtual launch in mid-November, and celebrate some of the unsung local climate solutions heroes making Atlanta a better place. As part of the event, you’ll be invited to share your climate story, how you are helping the world reach drawdown, and how you hope to share the series to inspire climate problem-solving in your community.
Drawdown’s Neighborhood: Atlanta features people helping the world reach “drawdown” — the future point in time when greenhouse gases start to steadily decline — from Captain Planet Foundation’s Planeteer Alliance, Concrete Jungle, Emory University, the Kendeda Building for Innovative Sustainable Design, Lifecycle Building Center, Love is Love Cooperative Farm, Power Solutions, Southface’s GoodUse program, and Drawdown GA.
