Poetry as Protest: A Night of Performances Inspired by Ilya Kaminsky’s Deaf Republic

April 10, 2024 from 7-8:30 P.M.

4th Floor Gallery of Decatur Library
215 Sycamore St. Decatur, GA 30030

Join us for an evening of poetry and live music as we journey through Ilya Kaminsky’s Deaf Republic. Artistic responses to his text will answer how do you protest? This event is a collaboration of 7 Stages theatre and Georgia Center for the Book, featuring performances by Theresa Davis, Nikki Gray, and Isis Kleef with ASL interpretation by Hands In Motion. We will gather at Decatur Library’s fourth floor gallery with light refreshments, amazing art and open hearts.
